MM,

I have this friend at The Chop Shop in Keller, TX that says it would be easier to modify the backbone of the frame to fit a different tank than to modify a tank to fit the frame. A J has extensive sheet metal equipment and he can actually make a tank from scratch and he builds mono shock frames so I am starting to think that he knows what he is talking about.

All I know, is that the factory tank is too small.  It seems like I am having to fill it all the time!

It's a perfect compliment to the factory seat.  Which one will make you stop first. Undecided

There's no problem that a full tank of gas and a sunny day can't fix!

Well ,

The front of the 250 tank is mounted (factory style) welded in a new post , the tank post had to move forward and down , the coil bracket needs welding back on to hold the coil low as possible and centered in that frame hole above the motor.   I don't know where the blinker control is going , or that other thing I found near there ?   The compression re-lease is --- gone ---  Roll Eyes.

Then the rear of the tank needs to come up off the frame just a little .   The seat may be an inch too long now ??   The petcock is the same  Smiley

I might get to fiddle on it some more tomorrow afternoon ?   I'll get pictures next time.    Today , I didn't have my phone with me .

I was hoping you found a Plug 'n Play tank. I'd love to have a larger tank that I could just bolt on. I don't have the expertise to cut and weld and make it all fit.  Sad
