To get more than one photo...you have to use a place that will store the photo and provide an address to include in your threads.

I use www.tinypic.com

thats reflections in the chrome that looks like rust!  lol the wheels are spotless!!! Grin   here are the reworked shocks without shrouds.

The rubbers were dug out, to slip over the shaft nuts, which limited some of the motion.  this should give the designed value of travel.  NOW there is ~2" of shaft exposed.  before the dig, there was maybe 1 1/2 or so....

The Shocks look good that way.....I might have to do a "chromectomy" on my shocks.

It has always bothered me the way the chrome collars hold water in them after I wash the bike.

Friday 4-10 update.  Tank stripped of the army green down to red/white.  I did the ala Dave hub carrier bushing mod, but used PVC rather than bronze.  its really a no load situation, so I'm sure the strength is fine.

Actually did if twice.  first one was slightly loose, second one, a nice easy slip fit.  This should fix that wobbly hub potential.   Nice Idea Dave!

you can see the contact points on the carrier side from the cush splines on the hub.  DPO didn't have the carrier bearing spacer installed.   Shocked

Wow, that bike had a nice paint job at some point.

The shock mod looks great. I'll be doing the same to mine as well.

Shocks look good that way.  I like the factory chrome look on the CS-1, but I think the CS-2 standard would really pop with the caps off like that.  Nice!

Frame cutting and welding. My biggest fears considering I'm new to bike customizing and don't want anything to go wrong. At least I can live vicariously through you all and slowly build the courage to make the cut!

No welding and the frame cutting is not complicated and is completed in about an hour. Just jump in and go.

I took a more complicated route.....why?  just because.   Since the tubes were already cut a bit too short, I made some jack bolts to support the crossbrace.  Overkill?  yup.

3/16" steel disks with a 3/8 nut welded to the underside.  Welded in the disk.  Trimmed.  installed a jack bolt and jamb nut.

Once the seat rear crosspiece is installed, we'll raise up the screws, and lock them with the nuts.
