Her surgery is on the 31st, so she isn't riding by herself, she will be doubling up with me.
She is taking two weeks off, so we are in....

As a matter of fact, I just got off the phone, for the campground, we have the bird house for Friday, saturday and sunday.

We will be bringing her bike up in my pickup.....

We are leaving Monday (7th) morning for Illinois to visit the son.....

Looks like Dave and me will be ridding in from Lynchburg Friday afternoon.

There are several ways to get there from here. Hwy 64 runs east and west just 14 mile south of home , it also connects to Hwy 129 in NC. , and its a "Scenic route" all the way --- "The Southern Route". Hwy 30 is a mountain pass that runs by "Fall Creek Falls State Park" and go to the west end of the Sky Way --- kinda "The Norther Route". Then there is always the Interstate , and a dozen combinations of others. The only way to get to the Dragon from here that I haven't found is the "No Fun Way" Grin

I don't thing there is such a way anway !

WE STILL HAVE ONE FREE BED (and I mean do free as in Linux free) REMAINING IN THE ROOSTER PEN CABIN

Rooster Pen is our home 4 man cabin, check him out on the map as being closest to the bathroom showers and having enough car/trailer parking as you go on the up road to it.

Friday September 4th is the start date, 5th, 6th, and 7th as the main days.

CAST OF CHARACTERS

MM up to four staying at thesimplelife in the Rooster Pen for FREE

Old_Rider and wife staying at the Bird House

Dave and Eleavan staying in the area at a Robbinsville hotel

We still have one (1) free unclaimed upper bunk in the cabin, BTW --- and I think since I have already sunk and actually paid for the bill for the cabin that I am going to go ahead and declare it a FREE WEEKEND for room rent for all who are involved in the Pidegon's Roost cabin stay.

We have one upper bunk left so come and stay with us in the Rooster Pen for Friday, Sept 4 - Sunday Sept 6 for free. You'll need to bring a blanket and a pillow and enough money for gas and food and that's it.

I'm going to tie my tent (8x10-sleep 5 supposedly) on just in case we have more show up than planned. So if anybody wants to do a "Surprise" Drop-in --- its OK ! Wink

One of my CMA buddies and his wife might get a room in Robinsville and hang with us too. He rides a Harley but at least he rides - Tongue

We are two weeks out -- time to start thinking about prepping your bike and packing for the trip.

Things you need to bring:

A North Carolina Roadmap (pick it up at the welcome center as you roll into the state)

A pillow and a light blanket (beds are supplied with a fitted sheet and that is all)

Money for gas and food.
