Thank you all for the rapid replies and warm welcomes!
To make sure I get the gist of what was said ...... in other words "
keep my grubby hands to myself"
@justLiftdT4R - thanks for being so thorough
1. Clean the carb 1st b4 replacing anything (K.I.S.S -keep it simple Stupid) Gotcha!
2. I just grabbed oil from a cycle shop so unsure about the zddp but pretty sure its average oil - So I do need to get better oil however, based on the recommended viscosity -do I stick with 10W/40 in the Rotella?
3. Will the air compressor be a 100% necessary for the carb cleaning - only tool I don't have???
LMAO
I went to a couple shops and got price quotes on carb cleaning..... The 1st shop said we can do it for only $250...... 2nd shop proudly says awww yea we can do that for a mere $450 obviously not paying attention to the type bike I have and told him I have .......dummy you can get a freaking new carb for $300-350 I think
..... so for entertainment purposes I was like what if I bring it to you he says $225..... The 3rd shop which was the most outdated and the one I liked the most had a guy that owned it that you could tell he pumped motor through his veins and has been working on Hogs all his life.... Hell he looked like he was around to work on Gottlieb Daimler's bike!!!! He quoted me $100- which I am entertaining since I don't have a air compressor...... but the Manly man's man in me is like uhhhh yea you can buy a compressor for $100 and have it afterwards and still pull off the DIY. Ahhhrrrggg so many decisions!
4. Your petcock link looks to be of higher quality than the one I have in my cart - nice find and will buy!
@stewmills - Thanks for the specifics
1. See question above on viscosity but I will be buying Rotella
2. I concur with you all that I should probably leave well enough alone.... but here is my premise............I bought the plug and planned to purchase the other items in my cart as a form of preventative maintenance. This gives me a gauge as to the age of these parts and the mileage on them going forward. That way I know historically when the last replacement took place and when the next one is to be expected. But I do embrace the "if it's not broke don't fix it" mantra as well so I am again a little torn
3. I have read a couple
TEV post and basically this thing must be the equivalent to the female G-Spot because everybody mentions it but there are no pictures and the location of it sounds about the same 2 inches inside to the left or right of the rough texture patch.
where and what the sam hell is the TEV lol
4. I just bought a new wet battery
dang it, but will definitely keep my eye on the AGM. So far the battery has been great just want to make charging easy when necessary so I want to mount the cabling somewhere.
5. Being in the south we probably pay more for things that are seasonal than elsewhere - you can RIDES all year long here just about. So I am hoping I can get a Harley Dyna Muffler that cheap - I will search around; what do I need to look for before I buy? Does it need to come off a specific Harley D? I am sure I saw a post or two on installation so maybe I can find answers there. I saw a Dyna Fishtail on ebay for $19.16 needs a little TLC but not sure how it would look or the fitment.

By changing jetting you mean just changing out the jets in general or the jet settings?
@Junker - No not white smoke per se like the blown head gasket or oil leaking into the exhaust. Just a kind of burn off when the engine gets good an hot. Most noticeable at night cause it floats in front of headlight.
Thanks all for taking me to school! Ahhh the power of suggestion ..... Picking up a 6 of PBR right after I click send!
