Wow, everything is REALLY cool... except the Coors Light.
Reminds me of the Monty Python joke (modified): "Light beer is like making love in a row boat, it's F**king close to water."   Grin

HAHAHA S-P!! I couldn't agree more....I enjoy good craft beer on a regular basis but it's just in there for perspective. Ya know, the masses all know what a Coors light bottle looks like and how big it is. (Actually it's all my buddy had in his fridge that day) The muffler is only as big as this bottle of swill.....But I agree. It's Fuc$#% close to water.  LOL!   GrinGood one.

At least you know he's not "toasted" while he's welding if he's drinking Coors Light.   Grin  The routing on the exhaust is really cool. I'm anxious to see how all that goes together with the battery etc.  Fun stuff! Makes me wish I had a metal shop instead of a carpenter's shop.

Check this out! My older brothers old Sims Skateboard wheel as a brake light housing.  Shocked I dug this out of my Dad's garage and going with the skate theme here, why not use it for the brake light.!!

Made the bars yesterday.  9" rise and the actual bars will be a little narrower....but you get the idea

I know what your thinking, "why is Dfinn posting a pic of some chick with this chopper?"
That Chopper was built and belongs to my pal Nick who's helping me out with this build.  He just had a photo shoot for Easyrider Magazine!
Here is the Suicide Girl model "bittersweetsuicide" sending out a Tweet about the photo shoot for Easy Rider magazine.

With the exhaust running so close to the carb, I think I'd be worried about vaporlocking after parking it when hot.  Or, at least losing gas to evaporation from the heat.

Got some work done today.   Here are some pics of welding up the bars:

Now with the bars done and holding the tank in place, this is starting to look like something!

Dfinn, killer build and really nice work. Do you know anything about this build? A lot simpler, but very similar. Like, really really similar.

Here's the article on BikerMetric http://www.bikermetric.com/some-dude-in-los-angeles-has-a-suzuki-650-single-b.... The author sounds like he's gone off his meds. He references an article with an earlier version of this bike, and also an interesting interview with the guys from RYCA.

You gotta let me know how you mount that tank. I've got a sportster tank I've been puzzling over for a while.
