Hey, we have apparently survived the end of the world !!!!

What shall we do to celebrate this wonderful motorcycling accomplishment?

It must be 2013, the new 2013 Suzuki S40 is out with fuel injection and we must have OBVIOUSLY survived all the 2012 Mayan calender issues, right?

So now we get to go ahead and plan this year's mountain trip.

Hey, why can't we declare it to be 2013 for planning purposes?

Whattaya mean, the Mayans won't LET us ?????

(I thought once their calender ran out they were powerless to stop us)

Nah they found calendars in Guatemala that destroy the Mayan 2012 notion awhile ago...no more end of the world hokey pokey.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/national/health-science/mayan-prophecy-the-worl...

so we can still ride in 2013 Cheesy

OK, each calender is tastefully engraved in a textured finished plate, size 4' by 6' by 12", approx weight is 4 tons.

Got a preference for your favorite flatbed shipping line?   Got your own tow truck or do you want to rent a flatbed that has its own?

Mayan works of art are "heavy duty antiquities" to be sure.

..... or do you just want to pick it up while you are up at the Dragon next year?     Wink

Definitely not a desktop or wall calender.  Sounds like the Mayan pin ups must be "actual size".

I just went for a 106 mile ride today.....the first long ride for me since the 2012 Dragon trip.  When I got back from the last one I tore my bike apart to fix the knock, then when I got it back together I rode it around a bit to break things in, and I worked a bit on the jetting  Last week I installed an O2 sensor and this morning I believe I was able to get the jetting almost perfect.  It runs really nice now, and a mountain trip would be great......as long as it wasn't cold!  I was gone about 3 hours today and I got chilly.  I had a long sleeve shirt and my jacket with the liner.....but I got chilly.  Riding through Maysville, KY I saw lot of people riding in T-Shirts and no helmet.....and one lady on the back of a bike in shorts.  I guess if you were just riding around town for a short distance it wasn't that bad.....but at 60 mph for an hour straight....I ended up a bit chilled.  I mowed grass when I got home and warmed up quickly.

Let's beat the heat and go earlier than last year.

This year is too far gone into fall, October means too cool and lots of riding over loose leaves, hickory nuts and acorns and crazy acting little animals ....
