Vendor Scam

Please be aware of shipping overcharges at JC Whitney. I was charged for expedited shipping($11.83). Item was shipped at the standard ground rate.

Trust but verify......Someone Famous(not me)

I don't know about peoples past experiences from Bikebandit.com but it's taken them almost 3 days just to process my order... they slather their website with "Get it fast!" and "Fastest shipping in the industry" banter...

Got my little rev counter off EBAY, firm was Catalyst Cycles in Smyrna Tenessee www.catalystcycles.com . Product was as described and shipping to New Zealand took a week to ten days. Counter was $US59.95, shipping $US18.96. Paypals foreign exchange rate wasn't brilliant, about 76US cents for a$NZ but so far I'm happy with the product. Counter is Taiwanese, not Mainland China.

I had a great experience buying Shinko 712 front tire, tire irons, Bridgestone innertube, rim liner, oil filter from

Rockymountainatvmc.com
http://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/

Very quick shipping, free if over $99
Good tracking
Good prices
Good Internet experience
I will do business with them again.

They did not have the shinko 712 rear so I used Chapparell power sports

Not as fast shipping (11 days) and Internet account had glitches, but nice customer service on phone.

Also use dyna beads from innovative balancing. Very fast shipping.

www.blacktopmotocafe.com It doesn't matter what you ride, it's THAT you ride…

I highly recommend checking this site out, the owner helped me a ton by pulling a size I needed and holding it because the transaction didn't go through (I called him personally). Really great to deal with, super fast shipping.. he even threw a free tank protector... plus he rides, and was injured in an accident so your moneys not going to some corporate suits  Cheesy

Yowza!... Huh...

EDIT... my mistake with the shipping (deleted)... I got two packages mixed up.. Grin..  (shipping isn't overnight,.. it'll be a few days)...
Still good prices and easy ordering from these guys...

Good Find......I might try them next time I need a part.

Back in the dark ages when I started riding it was not uncommon for a dealer to have a parts inventory that would have what you needed.  There was only 1 or 2 models of each size bike, and commonly needed parts were stocked....and most bikes shared common things like levers, grips, footpegs, tail lights, etc.....stuff that broke when you fell down!  These days there are so many different models, and sometimes even bike brands at each dealership that it is impossible for them to stock everything, and my local dealer seldom has what I need in their inventory.

I can order it. I came here because I want it now. Thanks for nothing. (Less than nothing if you count gas and time)

This is true of almost everything anymore. The issue is: no one wants to hold inventory anymore as is slows cash flow because you have a cash outlay up front and it costs money to store the stuff.
I have a Scion, and drove over a curb and broke a hose in the gas evaporative system. The part had to be ordered from Japan as it was not a common replacement item, and they don't stock it in North America. A common rule of thumb in retail now is only stock what you know you will sell in a month.

And that will kill retail.  I go to a barns and Noble bookstore because I want a book today.  If I want it next week, I go to Amazon.  I will pay more for service, but if I don't get it...
