Hay YouzGuyz

I found the link

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q1mPwUgD_dQ

The guy on that video is a bit directionaly challenged.. but does speak of most of the MAJOR popular roads.  We will be hitting most in the Kerrville day ride range.  Here is a picture of all the proposed routes from my Rever account.

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut between the seat and the handlebars. Make sure yours isn't too tight or too loose.

I'm in the TN valley just an hour North of Huntsville in Lynchburg .    I'm also in the place of life where every day is Saturday !  ...   Well  most days are Saturday , there's a few work days in the mix of the week , but I try to keep those Chore Days down to just a couple per week !!   Wink
Are you North of Huntsville ?

That route up around Llano, Lake Buchanan, and Marble Falls is familiar.  We like to camp at Black Rock Park at Lake Buchanan and Inks Lake State Park down the road.  We were at Black Rock last summer when temps were hitting 110 (real temp), and our tent was destroyed by an overnight storm but we welcomed the rain and brief cool down.  Had to go to Walmart in Marble Falls the next morning and buy a new tent.  It was an eventful 4-5 days that we won't soon forget, but definitely not our best stay there.

Just a quick update. My brother-in-law David (Victory motorcycle) called me last night to say he was not able to get the requested time off and will not participate in the 2024 Hill Country Ride. My other brother-in-law, Steve (Hammer) is still in. So it will be just be
Steve and me riding in together.

Deb and I were down in NC last week (in a car), and I found a great road for us to ride on the bikes.

The Joyce Kilmer road that goes from 129 over to the Joyce Kilmer Forest is a nice ride - and even cooler is the road that climbs up the mountain once you get there.  The road climbs a mountain and is dead end with a nice overlook at the top.  When we went up there was nobody else on the mountain - however that is likely to change as the summer comes.

We will need to go see this road on our next trip down to Deals Gap/Tail of the Dragon.

They hold a race on the mountain - this video shows the road but you can't appreciate the steepness in the video.

That looks awesome!  I wanna ride on the road side on the road thru blind curves without worrying about getting smushed like a bug!

For our upcoming Texas Hill Country ride, I wanna confirm who’ll be there:

Dave & Deb
Youzguyz (Neal)
Lancer (aka Lancer)
MMRanch (aka ?)
Springman (aka) & Hammer (Steve)
Paul (me)

Is Verslagen coming?

Did I miss anyone?

Awesome!!  So if I have to yell, “Mike Help!”, I’ve got a 1 in 3 chance!  And if I yell, “Hey Dave!”, I’ve got a 50/50 chance!!  Woohoo!

Dave , I'm thinking ... If the road is down hill most of the way ... I could ride the 350 fast enough to r-u-n-n-o-f-t and leave that feller in that little car  Smiley

Yes , we need to go visit that road !   Wink Wink

The race is held going uphill - but the road is a dead end at the top of the mountain......so they do have to come back down eventually!
