This area is "open range", and livestock is allowed to roam freely.

There is a cattle guard everywhere that the fence crosses the road - somehow this keeps cattle from wandering.

Not all of the cattle guards are smooth - I adopted the Marcia Meter to determine how rough they were and how much I needed to slow down.  If Marcia bounced out of the seat when she and Mike crossed - I would slow down.

Youzguyz tested our off-road abilities at one of the larger low water crossings.
(Everybody passed the small test and stayed upright)

At the end of the day Youzguyz took us to Luckenbach so we could buy unnecessary plastic items to prove we had been tourists in Texas.  I bought a sign to hang in my garage wall and Deb got a sticker for her guitar case.

This is the General Store in front and the bar in back.

Seems like a fresh coat of paint and a new roof would ruin the rustic charm.

You need to watch out for those outside of bars.. especially when they have a bit too much Irish Creme.

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut between the seat and the handlebars. Make sure yours isn't too tight or too loose.

I made it home last night at around 7 pm. My hands and feet were soaked as I do not have waterproof boots or gloves. The dye from the gloves dyed my hands black. After a shower and various had washings my hands are now a pale blue/black. From this ride home I can say that the shinko 712 tires are very good wet weather tires.

Thanks to Neal for taking us around. As usual he did a fantastic job and the roads we rode were great.

Thanks to all else for the good company and the sharing of fun times, good rides and good meals.

So , Friday morning Springman and I loaded my bike into the truck.   Then Marcia and I rode home after lunch at the "Alamo Springs Café" .    Its only a little over 1000 miles but with both of us  driving and taking turns napping we drove it in one 24 hour period.

Once again Neal did a GREAT JOB leading us around.  It seems he knows all the back roads in the area and all the neat places to visit .     I had some Grilled Brisket that was better than my own cooking !   Tongue
I hope to go again next year !
We had one rain day but Fredericksburg has covered sidewalks and a lot of downtown window shopping places and an Ice-Cream shop too.  To be honest ... some of us might have needed a Rear-Resting day ?  Roll Eyes

Here is a picture of a Happy Couple at Stonehenge II

We even got a picture of the workers putting the last stone in place at Stone Henge.

and their Supervisior too ... I think his name is Neal ?    The workers were really nice folks too so we all went to lunch after a bit.  Grin

We had some of the best views in South Texas , I'm not sure where this was but there were so many back-roads with picture book scenery , I just trusted YouzGuyz not to lead us into "Banjo Music" territory and it worked out good !   Smiley
Sorry about the view Deb ?   Huh   its the only picture I've got of Springman
