I actually polished them to match the crankcase and trimmed the plates a bit for a tidier look. I was happy with the look, and the ride was fun, but I went a different way in the end.

If you are tall....there are options that don't involve sitting on the passenger seat or installing extended controls:

The S40 has a short wheelbase, 58", where Honda shadows are 63 to 65". Just a thought. Cheers!
