Call Congress - we all need to do something about this.

This is absolutely an issue, I am surprised given where people here get their information online that people aren't as concerned.
Speak up, promote legislative change or lose the ability to easily look up information. Pay for non-network information is on the table, You tube isn't in your plan so access is limited unless you pay extra.

First off, I'm not a subscriber to WSJ - but consider the source....
Sorry old, if you honestly think corporations have your best interests in mind, you're sorely mistaken.
Not sure if you're a fan of foxnews.com, but since companies like comcast (owners of MSNBC) will be able to throttle speed at their discretion, they could potentially slow down all your favorite sites...
Further, the aluminum foil hat crowd would be lost. Their conspiracy sites could be subject to gigantic fees.
But I digress.... think about what we have right now. We have a neutral net. We don't need corporations running it.

Corporations already run it.They own the infrastructure.
I don't know if this is good or bad. But I don't think the sky is falling.

If they take away neutrality, you'll see how the sky will fall...
The point is, even though the infrastructure lies within ISPs - they are currently treated like utilities. Just like a local water utility can't charge you different rates for different qualities of water, ISPs can't charge you different rates based on the size of your site or throttle sites based on content.
If NN is repealed, that all changes.
Apathy will kill the internet.

Essentially the logic that the internet thrived in the 90's with minimal regulation however the internet and how its accessed has changed dramatically.
Net neutrality is rather new, only a few years old and no the internet wasn't an access free-for-all before but it can become that, as long as its
"disclosed" to consumers.
I'm ok with moderate repeal, but allowing corporations to lookout for the public's best interests for internet access sounds ridiculous to me. The FTC will step in once abuses take place, not before, and that's an issue to me.

The One Thing Obama did that I applauded was NN.
Trump is installing a
Mandatory Vaccine Real American in a policy making position.
Tyranny
So, is it good, right, smart to erase NN?
I'm not comfortable with it.
For the intellectually challenged, THAT'S CRITICIZING TRUMP.

Another opinion piece. Interesting though.
https://www.bloomberg.com/view/articles/2017-11-21/the-internet-had-already-l...
"
Meanwhile, our experience of the internet is increasingly controlled by a handful of firms, most especially Google and Facebook. The argument for regulating these companies as public utilities is arguably at least as strong as the argument for thus regulating ISPs, and very possibly much stronger; while cable monopolies may have local dominance, none of them has the ability that Google and Facebook have to unilaterally shape what Americans see, hear, and read
."
Maybe it isn't Verizon and Comcast etc. that we ought to be worried about.

So this idiot pai is calling his order "restoring internet freedom".
Really? Think about that...... and what a crock of $hit it is...
Not sure about you, but the world I've lived in has has a free internet since day one.
Yeah, you have to pay for the service, but I don't have to pay more to go from one site to the next. This little forum has just as much reach as Google does because of Net Neutrality.
Mark my words here... if NN is reversed - game over.

Ignorance has its own "rewards".
Repealing Net Neutrality will change the way the internet works for individuals and small sites like this.
Go ahead and ignore it. Once again, those with the most to lose seem to think that "as long as it's republican, it's good".
You can show the ignorant the truth - but they don't have to accept it.

I don't know what to want here.
I applauded when Obama did it, but I see Soros is against this. So, I don't know what to think.
The simplistic and simpleton idea that just because Trump said it's good means it is accepted by his supporters is just more projection by lefties. You people accepted ANYTHING Obama said, even the destruction of Libya, and called it good.
You pretended that people who opposed Bamicare were just partisans and racists.
And you oppose everything Trump says, even though it's helping you.
So, SHOVE the Bullshit about Trump supporters blindly following.
We're the adults who elected him.
We don't worship him.
And we don't just blindly trust him.
