So with the manual decomp lever, I need to bypass the clutch safety switch. This means it's critical I know when the bike is in neutral. Because the neutral light is in the factory gauge cluster I'm planning on wiring up a light. There aren't many places to put it, so I'm thinking about drilling into the top triple tree.

Chris, There is a Nuetral safety bypass you should do.
Go to Rycas website , at the very bottom of home page click on "resources" scroll down & click on "clutch mod wiring"

All the way to the bottom of first page , resources
Mod only allows start in neutral only , so you won't accidentally start in gear while your left hand is working the decomp lever
