We are two weeks out, and the weather has recalculated and
is still looking good
(a little shower on arrival day dampens nothing and no body IMHO).
To see the current updated forecast, click on the Fort Thomas to force a refresh.

We need an arrival roll call
-- we have a few quiet ones who said in the past they were coming but like all quiet ones, haven't said much since then.
Shake 'em out of the bushes, boys, let's hear from them again as we got bed space and meals to plan ....

Arrival
roll call?
only one there yet is Dave, and he's off and on... occasionally.

Yup, and Dave's new puppy is there too. And the 40 pound catfish, swimming in the pond.
Question is, when is Versy going to be there? And what shape will he be in from the long trip when he arrives?

I got a left rear turn signal that isn't working....and the top triple clamp was missing a bolt.
Sounds like this might end up being a "workshop" event!
(I do have 2 extra bikes that are running fine if we need a loaner).

Unfortunately geography does not help me...

One problem solved...seems to have been operator error during assembly. OOPS
So he turns over now but no fire...

Here's a circuit I was working on with someone w/o the decomp and safety's.
I'd prefer you left the clutch and kickstand safety's in.

Well.....should we do a ride on Thursday morning that goes down to Louisville to meet MM? It takes a bit less than 2 hours on the interstate - but there are some really nice back roads (Route 22) that would make it about a 3.5 hour ride.
What route are you planning on taking MM....maybe we can figure out a place to meet if the others are up for a long ride on Thursday.

I am not all that interested in long Interstate riding, that last ride from home up to that termite mound that we visited in Franklin told me that I have a brand new riding issue that is associated with my taking warfarin to thin my blood to keep my valve from clotting up.
I actually grew a line of blood blisters on my arse that followed right up the seam line of my pants ..... my wife was amazed at the linear precision this entailed as she smeared skin cream on them and all the while she persistently told me I should stop riding the motorcycle. The root of that problem was that I rode up in the middle of the night (took my pills before I left), rode all that day, and when I woke up the next day I took pills again and rode another 9 hours to get home. Too many miles, too many sets of pills (3) inside the same 48 hours -- I blistered my own arse so to speak.
I will monitor my PT-NR number closely and keep it as low as possible pre-trip (keep my blood from being too thin and keep the blistering issues down). I may also avoid some of the longer rides, or abort half way and find my phone GPS way back to Dave's farm.

OF....you definitely did push the limits on the Waynesville event.
Since it appears that everyone except MM is planning on arriving Tuesday night, we can discuss the Thursday activities on Wednesday. MM can also let us know about his chosen route, and maybe we can meet him somewhere closer to home. Route 22 is a nice road and one that we will likely ride sometime over the week - but perhaps not all the way to Louisville.
Maybe one or more of us might ride to meet MM....and the others can return to work on getting enough catfish caught for the Saturday night cook out.....I really don't know how long it will take to catch enough fish to feed us properly. I expect there to be about a dozen of us eating that night.

Sounds like Weds is a fix bikes and fish sorta day. Or shoot, as I got some development series to run too. We gots lots of stuff to do, no doubt.
From what I read, large catfish should be filleted and skinned, then soaked in brine water in the fridge for at least overnight to keep the strong taste down. I see electric knives being used to do the filleting .....
This means fishing Weds Thursday Friday to cook on Saturday ???

Yep.....4 days of fishing before the cooking. I guess we need to figure out how to clean and prepare the fish after they are caught.......I haven't ever cleaned a catfish! I have stopped feeding them so they get hungry and will take your bait......and if all else fails we can feed them and just scoop them up with a net during the feeding frenzy!
There are plenty of nice short rides around here......you don't have to go far to find nice country roads.
