Waco biker morons

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that there were no Savage/S40 riders involved in the mess.

Does that also mean we can only have a "concealed weapon" that is a single shot"

I had not thought about that before but it is an interesting question.  If so though, we might need to carry multiples; one in each boot; one on each side of the belt; & in each armpit.  That way we can still be a 6-shooter !   Cheesy

Apparently, the whole thing started over some guy getting his tootsies run over...
I'd try an apology instead of lead...
It's lighter to carry around...
...maybe buy the guy a beer...

Might have saved 9 lives...

Then again,.. we're probably all better off without them... Huh...

During the cap n ball days when you could shoot a revolver dry faster than you could reload one chamber this was a common thing to do actually, and persisted into the double action revolver with swing out cylinder days
Dropping your empty revolver and drawing a second is called a 'chicago reload' to this day in some circles  Grin

Actually the whole thing started when those guys 'patched up'
but this particular incident goes back to the Cossacks claiming what the Bandidos consider their territory by throwing a 'Texas' bottom rocker on their patches after the Bandidios warned them not to
The parking dispute just lit the fuse on an extant powder keg
This is a solid lesson on the difference between 1%rs and the rest of us

I did hear that the Police got involved in the shooting.  Maybe they should have just dropped back a bit and let the gangs work on each other a bit.....and then when it was over arrest the survivors.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and predict that when (or if) the whole story comes out, it's going to turn out that most or all of the dead were killed by the cops.

I don't doubt that there was a fight, and that some, maybe a lot, of the people involved are a**holes, but IMO the official version of events smells to high heaven.

As of today the Waco police claim they don't know how many, or which, cops fired their weapons. That's utter bull crap and flies in the face of the SOP of every police department in the country when it comes to officer involved shootings.

And 170 arrests with bond set a 1 million bucks. For what? Being there? I bet most of those arrested didn't even know there was a fight going on till it was over. Even so-called undesirables are entitled to due process. I read in one report that the cops arrested anyone who was in possession of a Harley ignition key or key fob.

And of course there is the asset forfeiture question.  Even when this all works it's way through the courts and most of the guys arrested are released, how may of them do you think are going to get their bikes back, once the Waco cops claim ownership and auction them off.

The Waco PD screwed the pooch on this one big time and now the CYA starts. If they hadn't been there this would have been a local story about a bar fight I believe.

People there said that there had been rising tensions between attendees for the last coupla weeks... buut, they still had it aaaaand didn't tell cops and arrange for some undercover,, at some level I start wondering what it takes to get people to open the eyes and think....

The cops knew about the tensions there, and the owners of the place refused to cooperate to try to stop it from happening
the police are believed to have accounted for 4 or 5 of the dead
I highly doubt ANYONE there didn't know there was a fight, what with shots being fired, a gun going off in close proximity isn't something you don't notice
These aren't choirboys, they're outlaw bikers
yes, they deserve due process, but when shooting starts, you can't just stand back and holler "Ya'll stop that, now!"

What I didn't hear is if there were civilians also at the restaurant or did they close it for the bikers.

well technically they all are civilians, but I'm not sure on that point myself right now
I do know no bystanders are reported hurt
and over 100 rounds were fired supossedly
that's a lotta lead for 9 dead and 18 injured (and not all of them by gunfire} pretty crappy shooting honestly
