Finished tank...all done with rattle cans.
These pics were taken only minutes after spraying the clear, so there's a little orange peel.  About 2-3 hours later the clear settled, and it's as slick as glass!  I'll post final pics after I put her all back together.

In the third pic, what looks like imperfections on the top of the tank, just below gas cap, are actually reflections of clouds!

What sort of rattle paint are you using for the metal flake portions? Pops nice.

It looks like a painted stock headlight.

Yep.  I got a bit ambitious a couple months ago & changed it though.  I now have twin 4" chrome lights.  It kinda looks a little "buggy", but definitley unique, so I like it.  I've been thinking about going back to stock, only painting the bezel orange flake.?.?.

Krylon.  Got em at Hobby Lobby...not very cheap though.  You're looking at almost $30!  They're very small cans, so I went through a few of them.  After it was all said and done, however, I only have about $90 or so in it all (and that was after sanding down & fixing some mistakes).  try getting ANYONE to do it for anything close to that!

I love the paint.  Heck the whole project looks amazing.  I've clicked this link several times, just to come back and see the pictures.

They are 4" forwards (by Ed L.)...try the "marketplace".  Good luck, they're in pretty high demand & seem to be kinda hard to come by, or at least they were.  I got lucky & found a used set.

Thanks a bunch! That really makes me feel good. I spent a lot of time clicking on other threads here "just to see the pictures". A lot of inspiration can be found here, and hopefully I've had a little piece in helping others come up with ideas for their projects. These little bikes are fun & easy to work on (and experiment with)...the possibilities are endless. Good luck!
