Thanks 87!
The rims were painted with a rattle can. I cut drinking straws, & slipped them over the spokes...still a LOT of masking!!!
Bars are stock buck horns, painted flat black w/ 15mm impact sockets for risers.
Did you think that stuff up yourself, that is pretty ingenuitive!

The risers were also a "borrowed" idea, but I can't seem to find the thread for that one.
The rear fender is a trailer fender that I bought from Northern Tool for $13. I originally had it mounted to the frame horns w/ 1" spacers (also an idea I found on the forum), but after installing a new tire & hitting a couple of "bumps" on the interstate I realized that it was rubbing a bit. I fabricated some struts out of flat bar, lowered it closer to the tire, and mounted them to the swingarm.
This site has been a great source of inspiration! Thanks everyone.

Thx BT!
Rectifier is bolted to front of battery box.
The fender is mounted in the back, with homemade struts that bolt to the rear of the swingarm, and the front is mounted to the crossbrace portion of the swingarm with angle brackets.
This picture shows both a little more clearly.

You can have your idea back, I've now got a new one!
I've started with the rear fender, so in case I didn't like it I could go back easily. I ended up liking it, so I'm now working on the tank. Next will be changing the rims to black (I guess I get to bust out the ole drinking straws again).
Here's the fender before mounting it. I'll post pics of the tank when it's completed.

Ideas are free...borrow away! That's why I posted pics.
Where do think I got my inspiration from? If it weren't for this forum, I'd still be rockin a stock savage! There's a ton of great people with great ideas on here. Good luck on you project!
I do warn you, however, this stuff is addictive...my bike probably will never be "done"...just ask my wife!

Nice Job! I love the look of the black and red. Did you buy the rear shocks or paint them?
