Question: How do you drain your oil?  (vote mulitple times)

Cold to mildly warm
Pretty darned warm
HOT, I wear a glove or use a string
I let it drain for hours to overnight
When the dribbling stops, I'm done
I tilt right and left to get more out
Gotten first degree finger burns
Got a strain from holding the tilt

Well.....yes, I got rid of that stupid pan, but not really because I dropped a schorchin hot plug into it.
But fact is, I can hold on to a cold plug untill that last 1/4 thread,....know what I mean ??

Yep, in an hour I climb in the car for Thanksgiving #1, then tomorrow I drive 6 hours for Thanksgiving #2 -- both of which I am thankful for.

But I thought I'd wish my net buds a happy Thanksgiving before I left.

=======================

If its cold enough, you just palm it when it finally drops free.   I've dropped hot ones in my open pan lots of times in years past, so I relate to what he's saying.

And being Klotz, I'm sure you could see it all the way down at the bottom of the pan, being that it was still all clean, clear and bright red when you drained it.
