Soccer? naw, here on the Canadian border even curling is a much more interesting sport than soccer.

Hey, isn't soccer the sport where the fans go nuts and kill each other in stampeds, riots, fighting, etc.??

What a perfect result for my family, England 1 USA 1 great score, both winners.I hope a few of you watched because USA held England to a draw, England were favorites, I think the US played very well in the first half, and UKs goalie fu*ked up.Anyway I really enjoyed it.
I had forgotten how much I missed the game. :'(

Watched the game.  If it wasn't for those darn horns they kept blowing it would have made a perfect sport to nap to.

NASCAR???  Nascar is the most boring sport with engines!

Nascar, like most events I guess, is MUCH better when you see it in person. It's even better when you spend the night before in the in-field, all I can say is WOW what a party!!!

We were sipping on a few cold ones today and there was a small crowd in the bar watching soccer. They screamed when USA scored which startled me at mid sip... I almost (I said almost) spilled my beer. Dang soccer fans always causing a ruckus!

Well, one golie goof andits a tie.  I enjoy soccer as there are a lot of skills that go on in the run of play;but, american that I am, i would like to see some more scoring. Grin  Maybee they should have to pull the goalie for 10 minutes every half. Grin Grin
I think whichever colored pill Mr. Green (no relation, I have the redundent e) took to relax him was a bit stronger than he realized..what a lackadazical effort on the worlds biggest stage.
It will haunt him till his dying day unless he makes some great saves to keep old blighty going forward.
Mick,the split personality becomes you.

Only sometimes Mick, and only in moderation. I usually prefer bourbon by the gallons when I ride. Thanks for checking up on me though.

Had a hell of a ride today too! Too bad it was in the 90's and humid as sh!t.. I could feel myself sweating at 60mph!! LoL

OK.  I turned it on and watched.  If you figure about 30 seconds of meaningful action for each goal (and that's being generous) and another 30 for the couple of close misses, that's about two minutes of action.  The rest is just running back and forth.  That puts it a full seven minutes behind the nine minutes that Mick gave American football.  Those horns are really annoying.

From where I was sitting, I could only see the soccer game if I turned around on my stool. The TV facing me was on college lacrosse... Sh!t, same friggin game but only with sticks. Screw that...
I resorted to waitress watching, now that's a sport I really enjoy playing!!!

Well had I been home, I might have watched some of the game. I do enjoy soccer, football, nascar, baseball and hockey.. My hubby likes that I enjoy the games with him and not nagging about him watching..

Now if he was waitressing watching??? That is a different story...haha..

Yes, the vuvuzela, was the most annoying thing about the game yesterday. We killed the sound pretty quick. And, we are not alone! Most of the world finds (found) it annoying as hell.

But, hey, it's their culture. Whatayagonnado Grin
