If you get down around Lake of the Ozarks check out Ha Ha Tonka State Park. Do the tour around the castle and walk down around the spring and cave.
Lot of nice scenry and some GOOD roads if you like the curves...lol


Im kinda curious about how many Savage riders we have here in MO. We seem kinda savage poor, although i see a LOT of s40's(ls650's as well) for sale on craigslist recently. Yet to see another out rideing though.

 As far as the winery circuit, its the twisties on the river road and the tourist traps that attract them. The further away from St. Louis you get, the fewer attitude squid you run into. I can run 94 on a weekday and not see two bikes from Francis Howell to Dutzow. Weekends are another story!
 Just an example, but you can run a big square from Hwy 94 west to Hwy 19 south to Hwy 8 east to Hwy 47 north and find lots of nice roads without a ton of "tourist traffic" to get in your way. Lots of good places to eat and stop, just a different type of travelers down that way. Meremac State park area has a lot of nice roads! (Gotta watch the boat trailers and rafters at the end of the day though, still too many heavy drinkers on the rivers down south!)

I've got a nice chunk of route 66 on my doorstep here in sw mo.
Go about 25 miles either way for a short run. My long loop takes in a good 10-15 miles on route 66 then another 40 or so on the backroads with some nice tight curves and low traffic.
Some old stores and motels still standing on the route 66 part.
I remember when it was still a major road and I44 was still a fairly new highway.

I love these ozark mountains...untill i have to walk up one...lol
