That looks like a "TKAT" brace -- made by an individual that retired and no longer sells them. Check this thread:

There's a brand called superbrace that makes one for the savage, seems too expensive to be worth it to me personally.

For what its worth, my fork started leaking after I installed the super brace. Might be a convenience, but might also be added stress on the fork.

Interesting Och.  I think Verslagen was eluding to this in an old thread.  It reminds me of the rhinestone Cowboys down here in Texas that install lift kits and beefed up suspensions on their old truck and then seem surprised when stuff starts breaking.

This is an add-on “upgrade” that came on the bike.  I’m just trying to make notes on all the mods this bike has and the things I’ve done as well.

I have a TKAT fork brace and used it for many years without any issues at all, never leaking.  I don’t recall anyone on this forum having problems either.   If someone did I could have missed it but I’m here a lot.
Did your install of the brace go perfectly, did you insure your forks were perfectly parallel before installing the brace, and did you loosen all four clamping bolts before install ?

That's good to know Lancer.  The brace was on the bike when I bought it.  I have no history and I don't even know how the bike rides yet (Woody issues).  The forks don't show any signs of leakage and they flex fine (not too mushy) when I play bouncy bounce in the garage.

I used the Superbrace, and for the most part I followed the instructions on the install. The problem is, I really don't ride the Savage much, so it is just sitting leaning on the kickstand. It was the left fork seal that started to leak, the right one was fine. I'm thinking between the brace and constant pressure on the left fork, the seal must've overcompressed and started leaking - but its not like I know what the hell I'm talking about.  Grin

Either way, I have the Superbrace sitting in my garage, if anyone is interested in buying it, I'll let it go for 50% of what I paid for it.
