That photo shows the disparity between our sleeping equipment!

Stew has the cot, pad and sleeping bag on the left.....I have a crappy air mattress and blanket on the right.

I was really cold the first night - I had no idea how much cold can come from the ground underneath when using a 4" thick air mattress (normally I sleep in my trailer and the floor is not nearly as cold). I had a sheet on top of the air mattress and a wool blanket for covering me. The next night I used my sleeping bag and stayed warm.

Since that night I bought a thicker air mattress with more support.......I tried to buy cheap the first time ($13)and the results were not good.
