Coincidentally I asked about tires the other day.  What tire did you go with?

The tires I buy for the F800GT are not available in sizes that fit the Savage.

That tire is a Dunlop Road Sport 4 in a 180/55-17 size.

The F800GT is a good comfortable bike for riding with Deb on the back, and this will be it's third trip to Texas.  It is light enough for me to hold it up, and it has enough power and comfort to go long distances and it has luggage!  And it is belt drive and I don't have to worry about chain maintenance!  I really like it.....it is a really good fit for me and is the bike I ride most often.

Here is a photo of a group ride in Arkansas 4 years ago.  My white F800GT on the right, MM's Moto Guzzi next, then Springman's Honda, then Verslagen's Savage.  The bike in the background is a BMW K1200 that was parked at the overlook when we arrived.

That’s awesome. Nice bike!  I had to google it and check out the specs.  It is light for an 800cc bike.  Impressive power to for its size!

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut between the seat and the handlebars. Make sure yours isn't too tight or too loose.

Ha!  X marks the spot!  I’m gunna have to print this out!  Trying to look at it on my phone and it keeps hopping around and pop up ads are being vicious!

I see a few X’s.  Colors mean anything?

Do you have a day by day plan or are we just winging it?  I’m still trying to decide which 2-3 days I plan to be out there.  Sites aren’t filling up yet and being during the week, I don’t imagine weekdays will completely fill up especially for tent sites.  I may just wait until the 10 day weather forecast is available and pick the best days.

Thanks for doing this, Youzguyz!

X is gas stop.  Circle is lunch stop.   All my chicken scratches are estimates.  NOTHING is written in stone.

Which day goes where is determined by what is open on which day.
The way it stands now:
Monday- Three Twisted Sisters - black route
Tuesday - Llano / Willow City Loop - green route
Wednesday - Alamo Springs Cafe - brown route
Thursday - Luckenbach / Johnson City Motorcycle Museum - blue route
Friday - Canyon Lake / Hillbillyz - red route

One again, NOTHING is FOR SURE.  This is just a daffy draft.

AND, it anyone wants to make sure to go somewhere in particular, please let me know so I can work it in!!!!!   Cheesy
Like Llano was done so MM Ranch can get that BBQ fix.

Cool.  Twisted Sisters is on my bucket list.  I’ve only been down one stretch by car.  I can’t think of a better people to experience it with!

That looks like the Red River on the TX/OK border.  It’s definitely not the Frio River.

Yep.  You and Lancer will be covered in red clay when you get to Kerrville!  Everybody that lives on a county road in northeast Texas has a red car.
