Trump et alia vs the 1871 Ku Klux Klan Act
02/17/21 at 05:44:37
Donald Trump, Rudy Giuliani, the Proud Boys International, LLC, and the Oath Keepers have been sued by Congressional Representative Bennie Thompson, contending each “intended to prevent, and ultimately delayed, members of Congress from discharging their duty commanded by the United States Constitution to approve the results of the Electoral College in order to elect the next President and Vice President of the United States.”
While other suits will aim to hold co-condpirators to account under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO), the language of this suit, backed by the NAACP, will fall under the 1871 Ku Klux Klan Act.

At least it's an attempt at being comprehensive and isn't trying to blame Trump for everything bad that happens.

Trump isn't being "blamed" for his actions, rather, these are the legal consequences of his record. Like most other cases against mob bosses, this is an effort to hold all primary actors accountable.
The Capitol attack would not have happened without Trump's scheming, campaign of lies, and specific staging- but did Trump personally swing a fire extinguisher at a Capitol police officer's head? Of course not- his agents did. Trump isn't just too cowardly to personally lead the mob to the Capitol, as he promised that day- rather, according to folks attached to his Aministration and legal counsel, he has a long history of suggesting crimes be undertaken on his behalf. His isn't a creative tactic, though, and our legal system has well established law for redress of such crimes.
