It has been noticed. That poll makes no distinction between the House and Senate. As most not-blind citizens have noticed, the House has been legislating, while Mitch McConnell has made sure most everything coming out of the House is not taken up in the Senate. Without a more nuanced question, it's impossible to know what the numbers represent- of course, that didn't stop Ray from waving the polls around as if a useful conclusion could be drawn. Congressional approval has been mostly under 30% for the last 12 years.

Obama: 47.9
Trump: 40

Gallop was selected for data, being extant since before the Carter Administration. T And T Garage spoke the truth: Trump is the least popular President in many generations. I can't imagine why. Maybe it has something to do with being such a horrible person? Just a guess.

You're not going to win running a socialist in a good economy. Even Obama knows that. Your only hope of winning is voter fraud in a few key states to swing the EC numbers your way. Assuming everything stays more or less the way it is, if you don't do that, you'll lose. Even if Trump is impeached, that will not reduce his vote count, might even add to it.

You can say that all you want, but it doesn't change the fact that the majority of the country is in favor of "socialist" programs like universal healthcare.

Further, the right seems to forget that there are now 3 years of baggage that trumps hauling around. He's losing the grain belt, the coal belt and the rust belt.

Metaphorically, his pants are around his ankles and he's a laughing stock.

I highly - highly doubt there is any path to 270 for trump in 2020.

I'm afraid we have another 11 months of Mark spittling between "Trump will reign for 1000 years!" and "there will be a civil war if he looses!"- then we'll find out how much of a revolutionary he really is. We can't hope for patriotism- but cowardice, certainly, is something we have reason to hope for, hiding behind a keyboard rather than raising a gun or building fertilizer bombs. Please, Mark, when the day comes, continue to exercise the free speech rights you now enjoy- and try to blend in with the folks who didn't want to see our Union fail.
