Any temperature within reason is "OK" as long as you are dressed appropriately. The problems arise when you are caught out without proper gear and there's a weather change, or you just misread the conditions. Which I did today. I decide today is the day to put the S40 in storage. I get up, it's sunny and mid-40s (Fahrenheit) and I only have 8 miles to ride to the storage place, so my leather jacket and heavier but unlined gloves will be fine. Well, 5 of those 8 miles are on a 70 mph limit highway. At 70 mph, 43 degrees F feels like about 5 below zero F. My hands are numb long before I get there.My wife, who comes to pick me up, is still laughing at me, and here I thought after 32 years she kinda liked me...
