Thanks for sharing - it shows that a "one only" mindset is dangerous. Fortunately, we live in the US which has thrived using a mixture of socialism, capitalism, conservatism, etc.

Maybe you can explain why being intelligent enough to Not Want the disaster that Europe is suffering is just a Gutless Fear based in some phobia, but NOT being afraid of the Global Warming monster is just not sane..

Politicizing it. Setting IT as the example of what's wrong with our country. It's not only weak, it's a lie. I've got news for all the righties that push this garbage - this is NOT Venezuela.

Pushing fear is terrorism 101. The righties are so afraid of "evil socialism" and all the while too thick to understand that the US has socialism as a part of its structure.

Pure socialism doesn't work. Nor does pure capitalism. We don't live in either. We live in a hybrid - we have for over two centuries. But when terrorists want to make their point - they show everything as black and white. All good or all bad.

That's just not the way it is. Our country is better than that.
