Where in north Arkansas? Rode mine to our camping lot in Ravenden this fall, dust made it run funny.

If the plug is dry, the fuel tap failed. Set it to prime, with a brand new spark plug and try again.

If the plug is wet, take the plug wire apart, trim off 1/8", reassemble and try again. The plug end of the wire unscrews, the coil end does not. If the wire comes out of the coil, kiss $100 goodbye.

If you are truly stymied, I live 45 minutes northeast of where I-40 crosses the ditch between TN and AR.

Sounds like he sprayed a lot of starter fluid ,maybe washed oil off the cylinder walls (low compression) no fuel ,I might be checking to see if the float is hanging up or the screen under the float valve is plugged .

Was the bike sitting for a while and this is the first time starting or was it ridden recently and this is more of an acute symptom?
Could just be a dirty carb/plugged jet but you think it would have puffed or chugged some with the start attempts.
Definitely try the new plug and setting the domesticated male chicken* to prime as suggested above.

(*petcock.  Credit to JOG from a post that still makes me chuckle).

Tocsik,

It still makes me laugh...I too have a domesticated male chicken on my
S40, but it is the Raptor version.

Since it is a Raptor should I call it a "Domesticated Dinosaur For Disabling The Escape Of Fossil Fuel".

LOL
