My (ex) wife had the good luck to marry a guy who liked to cook and was darn good at it, and the bad judgement to keep trying to tell him how to do it
I think it was 1.5-2 years post honeymoon I walked out of the kitchen one night telling her "you know how to do it soo much better, cook it your freakin self" and nevermore would I rattle a single pot, for the next 16 or so years
when someone has 15 years in commercial kitchens, 18 years of cooking at home before that, and by your own admission cooks better than you, quicker than you, and washes the dishes in 1/3 of the time you do, when that guy enters the kitchen, you sit down, shut up, and learn
