I think the point is Sew is that if a high school kid did that, in certain blue states/cities, he'd be f'd..... and if Bush had done that, we would get a dozen variations of the brash Texan headline.
On the other hand, I think most center and right of center people recognize 'liberal privilege' when they see it.

By the way, I think I should copyright that term; "liberal privilege'. I've not read it before but with all the conversations going on about white privilege, I think perhaps we should point out the existence of liberal privilege.

That's the right of lefties to say or do just about anything and escape the fallout in all but the most serious cases. And even then, you gotta do a lot to be a leftie and cross the line.

Fingers aren't guns,... and all these "zero tolerance" policies are horsepucky...

"Liberal privilege",...isn't really privilege...
If Julia Child picks up a knife, you will assume you're in for a tasty treat...

A liberal can get away with saying or doing certain things...
A Conservative can get away with others... (fewer I will admit, but that again, is due to the conservative character... when you are the party of "black and white", you do fence yourself in a bit...

Example... Obama makes a finger gun,.. and it is assumed to be done in good spirit...(and it is)...
If Ted Nugent does the same, it obviously wouldn't be...
On the other hand,.. if a tree hugger liberal waves a flag, it would assumed as protest by the right,... but a conservative can flag up anything and it's patriotic...

I don't see a case there, conservatives don't actually have a rep for threatening folks via finger gun.
It's just the gun hater / fearer crowd projecting their fear onto someone because that person champions gun rights and the folks on the other side have the idea (false) that it's because they want to run around shooting folks, which is a lie spread by the same crowd
