I aquired my 1965 Thunderbird, by going up and knocking on the guys front door. I was very nervous. The car been moved to the street in about 2000, and I bought in 2003. Had his wife been there, she would have paid me to take it.

Sadly, it ended up being a money pit. I only had a few curious enough to approach me about it. I sold it via CL.

I did visit another guy who had two such cars in a fields. He was wary at first but warmed once he knew I already had one of my own. That was in about 2002.. the two rusted out hulks are still there.

I think down here its about 50/50 as to the person being upset or not. Most are more upset because interlopers may be doing some misdeed ( other than the trespassing itself or stealing).  I was very sad to learn how distrustful and unfriendly she said folks in around their diary farm had become.  Most of it was due to the large tracks of land being used to cover up growing pot. Such an odd culture had devolved from this.

since my family originated from TN.. I can understand were WD comes from.  My own dad was VERY like that... hopefully I am but to a much lesser extent. Of course I live in town.

The, Stream fishing; Have a duck  hunting swamp..
Own land on the back side. Their is NO, public access.
Would hunt ducks, from the shore, someone would push in from the St Hwy, 200 + yards through cattails, ( A Heck of a lota work).
And end up, (on the water), in front of the land I was hunting.
I just moved.

Not a problem.

NOW, it is, push in, and then, go ON THE LAND,
and, 'think', they can DO WHAT THEY WANT.

I can well remember my mother giving me a short paring knife and a big ole paper grocery bag and dropping me off along the road side to get asparagus. I was about 10 or so, this would be about '73. I was sooo embarrassed.  dern good eating though.  I always just stayed along the ditch... thats the only place it grew (between the ditch and the fence). This was southern Idaho (Twin Falls).
