Had 2 idiots today, parked halfway in between 2 No Trespassing signs, to ask if the bikes or the old Dodge trucks were for sale. Um, there are no For Sale signs on any of my toys, there are No Trespassing signs up, the entire community knows we are always armed and consider trespassers to be poachers or rustlers... Or should I put the cable noose over the tractor splitter A frame and hang up a sign saying they will be lynched? I'd have thought the kids who's little tuner car I perforated a couple years ago would have spread the word that the place is 100% off limits... Even the neighbors stay off the farm without a specific invite. |

Over here yonder those "in the know" use diced pork rinds (the tough outer skin...) It's "non lethal" but it becomes... ignited... just powder and pork rinds, no wadding ;) It doesn't sting... it burrrrns its way through jeans and into buttocks ! ;D Mighty hard to identify with X-ray, too, as it's organic... ;) |

As they went to get on it, I fired a round and hollered "the next one goes in between your ears"... Don't mind if someone is looking at it, but if they touch it, or worse, go to sit on it. All bets are off. I have a large pack of scrawny coyotes, snapping turtles and a backhoe. No more mister nice guy. |

American Pickers (I'd shoot them as soon as their tire first touched the driveway, thieving stinking filth) and similar. Antiques Roadshow. The car and motorcycle auctions, Biker Build Off, all the other nonsense that shows old or custom vehicles fetching big bucks. Personal property rights in this country have been seriously kicked to the curb, anyone seems to think they can go anywhere, do whatever they want, take whatever catches their eye, and there will be zero consequence. Got news for them... the South has risen again, and the Reich is reborn... I'm done playing games. |

Don't come near me, and we'll be fine. I've lived in my house for 10, going on 11 years this June. I know one neighbors name. I don't even wave to them. I keep my head down and my mouth shut and everyone plays nice. On the other hand, I was looking for a particular car for a project. I would drive by someone every day who had what could've been the make/model/trim package I was seeking. One day I saw it on jack stands. Then it never moved for about 3 months. I was talking to an older friend (probably close to 60) about this. He said he used to go up and ask people all the time. He scored some sweet VW bugs that way. People start projects, get in over their heads, and just want out... sometimes. I would never have the balls to go to their door step and ask but he did. I guess it's a generational thing? Anyway, they didn't want to sell the car. It never hurts to ask? But also, leave me alone. --Steve |

One of the local funeral homes adds a slice of ham to the corpse before sewing up the mouth... At Scout camp in the 80s, we convinced a Muzzy that breakfast sausages and bacon were made of goat and therefore okay for him to eat... |

The car been moved to the street in about 2000, and I bought in 2003. Had his wife been there, she would have paid me to take it. Sadly, it ended up being a money pit. I only had a few curious enough to approach me about it. I sold it via CL. I did visit another guy who had two such cars in a fields. He was wary at first but warmed once he knew I already had one of my own. That was in about 2002.. the two rusted out hulks are still there. I think down here its about 50/50 as to the person being upset or not. Most are more upset because interlopers may be doing some misdeed ( other than the trespassing itself or stealing). I was very sad to learn how distrustful and unfriendly she said folks in around their diary farm had become. Most of it was due to the large tracks of land being used to cover up growing pot. Such an odd culture had devolved from this. since my family originated from TN.. I can understand were WD comes from. My own dad was VERY like that... hopefully I am but to a much lesser extent. Of course I live in town. WD! I hope all is well up yonder! Pgam - I don't see signs of MS rising again... ever. |

See a small creek, hop out and wade fish the afternoon away. Wade downstream an hour and then back. Amazing the size large and smallmouth bass you can catch in a small creek if u know where to look. I never keep anything, always catch and release. Thinking about doing that this Afternoon if it doesn't rain. (I'll stay in and watch The Masters if it does) Here's the thing, I've noticed over the years, landowners are far less open than they used to be. It used to be, they could look at you and tell you're nota problem,only fishing. But the a$$holes ruin it for everyone. They tote beer with them and leave the cans, plastic wrappers from Porboy sandwiches etc... If I had land with a stream running thru it, even though I'm a fisherman myself, not sure how I would handle it. |

It's the same thing![/quote] Funny story time: I'm a large person. In boots I stand about 6'3" and I weigh in around 335 mostly firm pounds. I dress mainly in black and also carry myself pretty confidently and have been accused on occasion of being "a scary biker type". I don't try to be scary but it happens. Oh, and my main ride is a 1998 Honda Valkyrie. On one particular Saturday afternoon after a long and satisfying ride to nowhere, I walk of a local burrito purveyor and spot a group of teenagers skateboarding in the empty parking spaces near my bike. As I get closer I notice that one of them is leaning on the high side of the Valk's seat. I make my way to low side of the bike and without warning I simply ask "Boy, what in the HELL do you think you are doing?" I have never seen a skinny little punk move so fast in my life. I laughed all the way home. |
