You see, this WAS a 2.1 gal shell, but it looked to big on this bike so I cut 1.25 inches off the bottom. Now it's, well...less than 2.1 gal. This was a must. www.forevertwowheelsmaine.com

I was hoping to finish the assembly yesterday but I spent 4 hours looking for nuts, put the wheels on And mounted the engine.

Dfinn Junior Member Offline SuzukiSavage.com Rocks! Posts: 79	Re: 1986 Savage FTW bob chop build Reply #89 - 05/21/14 at 09:01:06 I used maybe 1/2 a can I black and less than 1/2 of the silver bead blast. I didn't pressure wash but instead used carb cleaner and sandpaper. Lastly, some elbow grease.
