Got early management approval on the vacation days.

While we are waiting for everyone else to show up, Lancer and MM and I can spend some quality time shooting guns, riding Savages and eating (something we have gotten good at over the years).

This gives us a whole day to build us a shooting bench at MM's long range rifle range if we need to do that.

His .22 range is right next to his house but I don't think we want to be blasting everybody's ears off by shooting high power rifles right next to the campground proper.

Some guns are just too durn noisy .....      Roll Eyes

Re-post of trip as planned so far -- we are 4 months out from the trip and some of us need to be thinking about reserving the vacation time.

=========================

The 2014 Spring trip starts June 17th and runs through June 25th

The trip contains two sections, first section is MM's farm and the second section is the Blue Ridge Motorcycle Campground.

Google map/directions location for MM's farm  is  219 M and M Ranch road, Lynchburg Tn 37352

Tuesday June 17th, Oldfeller and Lancer arrive at MM's and set up tent, etc
Wednesday June 18th, road trips and shooting
Thursday, June 19th, road trips and shooting
Friday, June 20th, Jack Daniels whiskey sipping tour
Saturday, June 21st, Bike Rally day
Sunday, June 22nd, break camp and head towards Blue Ridge Campground

http://www.blueridgemotorcyclecamp.com/

Monday-Wednesday June 23-25, ride the neat roads Dave found then find your way on home.

Since there are no rooms to reserve ('cept for those going to the Blue Ridge and those you reserve yourselves) we don't need to be doing a lot of extra planning beyond what we got right here.

You show up for what parts you like and you leave when the itch strikes you ....

Committed     (pending vacation approval, work schedule and other "out of our control circumstances")

MMRanch              lives there
Oldfeller                   17th
Lancer                     17th
Dave                        19th
old_rider &                19th
missus_old_rider.
Zar                         when he can
Verslagen                   TBD

===============

Lancer and I will be at MM's in the afternoon on the 17th to help him set up whatever needs setting up.   Dave will show up on the 19th.

....  It would be nice if we all told MM when we were showing up so as host he can plan for our arrival.   How many and when likely will play some against the trips that he plans and the assorted eating type stuff.

Your work situation has been a tough one for a while....hope it turns out well.

As Oldfellor indicated....we would love to have you come out and ride with us even if you can only do an overnighter on the weekend.

Dave

Thanks guys, the sad thing is that for the last 5-6 months the job had really improved. I went thru a series of Stihl sales and management programs for dealers and became a Stihl Ambassador, got a "not too shabby" raise and things were really going a lot better. The owner had turned over the Stihl and Bad Boy lines to me as far as ordering parts and whole goods and I was finally getting the respect I had worked years for. Unfortunately, the owner is 76 and ready to step down so there you go.

There have been a couple of serious offers so it's just a waiting game. I'm hoping I can make it down to meet up with you guys at some point in the trip.

I might be able to make it over for a weekend afternoon.  If you guys are up for that.  I'm only about 2 hours from the Dragon.  Schedule is terrible here.  I never have any idea what's going on until usually the day before.

I would like to come shake a few hands, say hello to everyone that is there and maybe partake in a little of that eating of which you speak.

Steve H.

You are welcome to come and visit.....During the hours of 8 to 5 we are usually on the move.  As we get closer and we know our schedule better....and you know yours......we could probably work out a place to meet.

Maybe the Sunday that we leave MM's and head to the Blue Ridge Campground.

fair warning, this is a joke

read further at your own risk ....

Dave has taken to misspelling my screen name fairly consistently of late, and it makes me wonder what I may have done to deserve such a name change.

Oldfeller:

Nothing intended.....mostly just laziness on my part for not mesmorizing the correct spelling.

Or.....it could be the paint fumes I have been subjecting myself to all winter!

Nothing that a few days of BlueRidge twisties and some BBQ can't fix! Grin

Oh my goodness, where are my head bricks when I needs them ???

Dave,  you made a funny inadvertently -- we can use a funny any way we can get them.

Versy, however, has done gone and spoiled my lumberjack mental self-image forever .....
