I think if the prosecution had went for manslaughter instead of 2nd degree murder they would have stood a better chance of winning. Its stupid, the penalty is the same. Z didn't go out hunting Trayvon and that's what 2nd degree murder implies. Now the anti gun people will come out in droves and try to punish the innocent like me. Right now I'm glad I don't live in that town. I'm sure Jesse and Al are on their way down there. I never heard of the New Black Panthers until this happened but It sounds like another hate group.

IMO the jury got it right. But I wouldn't be honest if I didn't admit that I'm actually a bit suprised. When manslaughter got put on the table I was concerned that they would go for a compromise verdict even though the evidence didn't really point that way. I'm glad I was wrong.

He'll pay for the rest of his life. He'll always have to be looking over his shoulder. Maybe that's a better sentence than prison. As far as being a racist, maybe he's like me. I have black people I love and I know pregidous black people I don't like. The Martin family's lawyer is talking about a civil suit so the court drama may not be over. I carry and if I killed someone in self defense I would probably never sleep well the rest of my life. Carrying is a huge responsibility.

I didn't watch the whole trial but I know he disobeyed police instructions and made racist comments and I watched all of your video. He had no business getting out of his truck and if it were you or me instead of Trayvon we would still be alive. What part of the trial I watched was somewhat ridiculous. I don't want anyone to go to jail but an innocent kid is dead. Maybe the jury is right, either way I have to accept their verdict and hope there is no violence. I think Z has a conscious because of his non reaction in the courtroom when the judge announced the verdict. I know Obama will get fired up again about the 2nd amendment and Z just added fuel to the fire. I'm praying for both families and that's about all I can do. Star is just a messenger and the comments about him were unnecessary. We need to be more civil. Jog you know I've backed you up many times when people on this forum made fun of you. Attacking each other shows immaturity. Everyone is entitled to their opinion right or wrong.

He made racist comments? I think you got taken in by the medias edited 9/11 call,, he also is a mentor of young blacks, he also went to bat for a black man who was beaten by cops, he has been smeared & used, the jury saw thru it, in SPITE of the threats of social unrest, they decalred him innocent, they had ALL the evidence we havent had, the state even went so far as to wipe TRays phone of incriminating evidence, NOTE, People are Now Fired from the DA's office for telling that..
You gotta start seeing things for the manipulations on our hearts & minds that they are.,
