Sounds like you have a great team working with you.. get a picture of you all together - it's great to remember times like that, esp when you do so well.. Congrats, Lancer!

Lancer, If you had been wearing the hardsheel brace the EMT folks could have just flipped you over like a turtle and you could have ridden off. In our prayers.  Wink

Glad to hear you are doing better.

Keep at it!
It's just a shame that sometimes the road to recovery looks a lot like this one:

Saw the doc yesterday; CT  scan looks good and I am healing according to plan but must still wear this blasted hard shell brace for the full 3 months.  It seems that the fracture on the lumbar vertebrae is in a VERY CRITICAL position and if I am not careful it could be very bad for this very active dude.  So it is a  very SMART SALUTE AND A HARDY "YES SIR"  and a promise to follow all of the rules set down lest I end up needing a motorcycle with hand controls only since my legs would be totally paralyzed otherwise.

NOT GOOD.

So I will be a very good boy and do everything they say.

In the meantime my CS-1 is ready to start production....YEA !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I read mention of an accident on RSD, but was afraid to ask ! Guess I should get here more often, except I hate some of the hate and discontent here.
Anyway, glad you will most likely get another chance to ride one day !

Get well,......and the best to you.

Sorry about being slow to reply on this thread too. Follow the docs instructions closely and heal up properly!!! Having leg that don't just wouldn't do.

Here's to a speedy and complete recovery!!!

yep, healing is going well....it's just a slow going process for this one..
considering that screwing up could mean nonfunctional legs is a big piece encouragement to follow the rules EXACTLY and no shortcuts....the bone needs time to mend properly so time it is then.
My last appointment with the Rehab doc went well; he said don't come back cause you dont need me any more.   GOOD NEWS !!

Lancer sweetie, here are your kisses
for being a good boy.. You get bonus
ones for not leaving bruises on the nurses.  Grin Grin
From having injuries to myself in the past besides
my mc accident, it is easy to want to move around,
do what you think you can do. Well at times that
may work. Yet again, times it won't and your body
will tell you that. Take care of that back man. It will
heal quicker if you rest and give it the time it needs.
Ok so your getting restless, well just think how restless
your going to be if you re injur that back and take longer
to recouperiate. Now be a good boy, close your eyes...
Kiss Kiss Kiss Kiss Kiss Kiss Kiss Kiss Kiss Kiss Kiss Kiss Kiss
Hope the week brings you closer to being recovered as well
as some relief in your pain.. Keeping you in my daily thoughts
and prayers.. kim
