He looks exactly like the kind of person that you would expect to be riding a K bike. (From a 247 rider)

Hope I don't offend anyone with this observation ... attended a local Euro Bike Meet n' Greet back in Sept. to help a couple of Euro-Ridin' pals set-up a refreshments table ... BMW was heavily represented at the gathering and I would have to say a good many of the Beemer Riders present struck me as either slightly eccentric or somewhat "elitist" if you get my drift ... of course I could be wrong! Depends on whether they were airheads or oilheads.  Airheads tend to be eccentric (and wear grubby old clothes), and oilheads tend to be elitist  (and wear only BMW attire-kind of like HD riders).

As Pogo said, "We have met the enemy and they are us."  Just like Savage riders, BMW riders come in all types.  We have bobbers, cafe racers, street rodders, and I don't know what else.  Among beamers, they don't modify their bikes as much, but there are all kinds.  I suspect some of them even ride a Savage at times.

K-75, 1987 version.  Custom seat, front fender extension, Givi tail trunk.

Daily rider, and I rode it to Morgantown N.C. by way of the Dragon and Rhinebeck NY in two separate trips.

16 years of stone-cold reliability, one year of discovering that I wasn't ready for the hobby of keeping an old bike.

And yeah, I still miss it!

Beautiful bike. I like the "brick". I belong to a BMW club and it's amazing how the early K bikes just keep going. They don't die, they just move on to new owners.

BMW, the Rolls Royce of motorcycles.
If I had to ride from Portland to the Florida Keys ,that is the bike I would choose (air head).

I have never heard anything bad about MG ,I do prefer the old styling
from the 60s. Moto Guzzi  has a fine reputation, but one of the few bikes I have never riden. so I'm not going to give it a title, but you can  Wink

No title needed my friend, they stand alone. This is my other one. You should like it because of the old school "cafe" styling.
Just to add, I've seen your motorbike history. If you get down this way you could scratch Guzzi off your list. I got two and only one ass.

LOL! Most of the Beemer's at the gathering I attended were air-cooled ... actually, I think there was only one of those K-series Bikes there ... and many of their owners were togged off in BMW logo'd clothing too.

Love the Guzzi's ... I'd take one over a Beemer any day of the week ... especially one of the new V7 Classics ... those are SWEET!
