SO?  You are ashamed of what you bought?  Was it a Chinese Electric Scooter?  Worse?

Are we now too good for you?  Did you get a BMW?  (my brother-in-law is now too good now that he got a BMW.)

As far as I know, there is no requirement for anyone to have an LS650, or even a motorcycle!  My wife is a member and she is a CAGER!

Feel free to post pics of your new ride. It does not matter what brand of bike you ride, it is the fact that you do ride.
Best of luck to you with your new bike and stop in or better yet stay here as were a fun bunch.. Smiley kim

Wow ! What a send off you guys give. A couple of good ones and the rest, well I started to just disapear. For your information, no peer pressure. In fact, I went against peer pressure. At 73, I am too old for that. Been through the Harley thing, don't have to wear black anymore or any other color I don't choose. I have had Harleys, a Whizzer, Yamahas, Kawasakis, Hondas and a Suzuki. Dirt, street and dual sport bikes have had their place in my life. Three wheelers and four wheelers too. Yes I suppose shame did enter in my not disclosing my new purchase. Since it is a step down in size, but not fun I figured you would make fun of it. When I tell you, what kind of remarks will you make? I bought a repeat of one I had several years ago. A Honda Rebel 250. In fact a new one. I don't take long trips anymore, just ride for fun. It is almost perfect for for my riding. My riding buddy does not agree, but he is not me. I have ridden his Harley and find it to be like a Mac truck. Not much fun like the S40 and Rebel 250. Anyway, I Enjoyed my time on the Forum and appreciate all your help along the way. I hope this goodby can be gentlemanly and not full of sarchasm. I hope each one of you enjoys their choice ride regardless of what anyone else thinks or says.

God Bless you all every day through His Son Jesus. May our final meeting be in heavenly places. Ride Smart.....Dan

A Rebel is a great bike.  The only caution I would ever warn someone about is that they might outgrow it too soon but since it's not your first you know what you're getting and if it's what you want more power to you!  Enjoy!

Hey Dan, I rode a Rebel for 2 years before my S-40 purchase 1year  ago. I loved my Rebel. I will admit it took me about 1200 miles before I did start enjoying it.
I rode that bike all over Wa.State and even brought it here to Ca via trailer and rode it here.
Their great bikes and it never left me stranded anywhere.
I will not make fun of you for going to a smaller bike. The fact that you again still ride and enjoy it is enough testimony for me.
Keep the rubber side down and enjoy that Rebel. Smiley kim

Now that we are mature, we know size does not matter when it comes to motorcycling enjoyment.   the Rebel is a good ride, enjoy yourself.
