I'll be watching some of it, as I enjoy waking up late on my days off. Watching the footies while sipping coffee would be a nice way to start the day. I like soccer/football/futbol (whatever you want to call it). I watch a lot of it when I'm in Central America.

Hey Mick, I'm sure you remember this guy:

Recently saw a very good film about his life, called Dam(n) United: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1226271/

I thought soccer was invented by moms who were afraid their little boys would get hurt playing a real sport.
So who you pulling for, Mick?  New country or the old country?

do you mean a real sport like "rugby" yes that is a little tame. But American football ,give me a break ,so much padding on they can hardly move, then they play a game where the actuel playing time is anywhere from 6 to 11 minutes per game ,then a good 30 minutes of commercials pre game crap, post game crap you got all of four hours
for a 9 minute game, briliant !
Me I'm rooting for the old sod,the last time England won was the year I left 1967.
I don't think the US will ever win in my life time.I would like to see it
because I would like to see the game get more popular..
Another thing I like about soccer ,anyone can play it,you don't have to be a 250 pound black giant, just have to be very nimble footed .
I hope both teams put up a good show tomorrow.Good luck USA

Bread & circuses. Rarely do I watch any sports. Bread & circuses.
Keeps the dumb masses placated. Bread & circuses. Watch this, watch this, be passionate about THIS, OHH but please, pay no attention to who is doing what that actually matters. Bread & circuses, DOnt Matter.

Soccer is fun to play, but like most sports I think it is boring to watch; well maybe with the exception of nascar.

I think drifting is pretty tiresome to watch. Nascar puts me to sleep in about 30 minutes, pretty much of a tie w/ golf & yacht racing,,, yaaawn,, I keep a tape of golf & yacht racing, for when I cant sleep. Just a few minutes & whammo,, lights out..
