Are you SURE you want me involved in this again??  I was just posting some stuff from the wayback machine.

I think I did this before.. but I am too lazy to go look.

YOUR TASK.  A picture of your bike and/or you with a humorous, (at least to you) STREET SIGN.  And I mean a sign that was put up by the government, not something put up by some private individual.
Like.. this.  (I was going to post the "U R LOST" sign, but.. )

If you don't do this, and I have to do a different challenge, it will be harder.. you are warned...

Fun. I know just the place a short drive from here.  JUG FACTORY ROAD.  Problem is I just have to see if I can get out to that part of the country one day in the near future.

When we was out there on a ride in texas 2 years ago, we passed a road called "savage".... but everyone went by and I was tail end charley that time, so I didn't stop, but mentioned it at our lunch break Smiley

I will search for a "humorous" one... should be fairly easy here in florida, lotta home owners name their fancy dancy house drives as streets, and get them approved if there are other houses on it (usually are because they build appt.  type mother -in-law rentals).

I still don't know about a road called "Savage" that we may have gone past..   Where was lunch that day?  Do you remember?  Was that the day MMRanch broke his shock?  Any other clues you can drag out of your memory banks to help me out?  Grin

It WAS two years ago, and I sometimes can remember what I had for breakfast if you ask me at lunch time Smiley

I believe it was the same day as when we went to the U R Lost road... it was by a suburb type neighborhood.

We made a right off a main road, kinda did a short jaunt and turned left off of the savage road onto a state rode.... at least I "think" that was what happened Smiley

The savage road was a one or two block one....

WHICH HAS ALREADY GONE BY...

Sooo, let's see if I can land this one...

VIA AFFOGALASINO, or, literally, "Drown the donkey" Road in Rome, Italy

Cheesy

It's no joke, here's the early XX Century Marble plaque on the other side of the road

It seems the road name is some 2000 years old, in that there was a glue factory and they would use horses and donkeys.
They would not be beheaded but drowned because the animal would be skinned and the hide used for lower quality leatherworks.

2000 years later, the name sticks ! (like glue... natch  Wink )

That's funny, I can see them again.

The problem is, Bikepics won't support external linking and I am having issues with Dropbox as well.

I created a Google-Pictures account and am using that...
...and I'm still having issues ?  Tongue

I think, as long as you are logged into google, WE can see them.

I did see them earlier when you posted them.

OK, my apologies for being offline but last weekend Aug. 13-15 was a national Holiday dating back to Ancient Rome

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferragosto

Did I win the Scavenger Hunt challenge or ... ?

I would have something in mind...
