do you really need a steering damper on this one?  With the rake I doubt you would put it into a tank slapper.  Just my opinion.  Still love the build though!

Well Take a wild guess at what the rake is.  It comes in at a whopping 24 degrees.  Thats steep. and really steep for a savage.  Therefore I think its a good idea.

got the sprocket turned.

Now I have to drill and tap the sprocket and rotor carrier together.

Ok love that one!  (PS I like the old Slab Side sittin in the back ground.  I had an '86 that I sold once I got the 1100 done.)

Did you guys machine your own head for that one?

Also, did you mod the steering head or just shorten the fork/jack the back by that much to get to 24 deg?  (oh ya, and at that point I fully agree)

Nope, the stock head is under there. Its gonna simulate a Dual Over head cam racebike from the 50's.

No neck modifications on my savage, although Its about where I want it.

Forks are stock length cbr 900rr. and its actually the same rake and trail numbers of the cbr.

Havent figured out the swingarm angle yet.

popped my clutch cover off cause i knew the plunger was over extended.

Im designing a manual CCT that can be adjusted from the outside of the engine.

Anyone know if there actually is an upgraded cam chain? Ive seen alot of talk but no actual product.

Also plan on slotting the cam sprocket so I can adjust cam timing.

The super savage cam chains are sold out for this year as far as I know.
There was one for re-sale in the market place.

Manual externally adjusted cam chain tensioner (I drool)
Like to see what you come up with.
I've been perusing the GS fleabay lot trolling for goodies.
And noticed the cam chain adjusters, manual of course.
One of my ideas (a long time ago in a far...)
was to drill and tap the rear of the cylinder right behind the rear cam chain guide.  A bolt with a heavy captive spring pushing on the back of the guide might just be the ticket.  But then one of those adjusters... excuse me need a tissue.

well ive got it designed, just need to make a blueprint and make it.

Its really simple.

I used to make manual CCT's for honda VTR's. I couldnt keep up with the demand.

Only downside to this design is I have to drill and weld a bung in the block, but if you havent already caught on that doesnt really bother me.
