Hubby did this on his Volusia because HIS website for his bike suggested he do this to make a "better" sounding ride. He drilled 4 1/2 holes around the baffle and all it did was make it louder...not the deep tone he was looking for. He ended up welding bolt heads in the holes to make it quieter. Now on to my question...my Savage has 4 large pop rivets spaced at 12-3-6-9 on the end of the plate surrounding the baffle. Is this the way it is supposed to be or I'm wondering since we bought my bike low mileage used has someone drilled the exhaust and plugged the holes with pop rivets?  ???
