Did you have to change any wires or cable to put the sportster handlebars on??  Where did you get the risers to hold them?  Anything else involved in the handlebar swap??

babbalou your S40/Savage is lookin' mighty fine Grin

I think your going to like the superbrace when you get it. My fathers savage was so hard to handle when you got above 45-50, but I put the superbrace on and geez that front end is rock solid (have only had it up to about 75 since the rebuild and it felt great!).

It was some of the best money I spent for him on that bike (well that and he loves his supertrapp pipe too Wink )

Anyway your bike looks really good  Smiley

Didn't have to change anything with the cables & wires. I took off the stock S40 risers & bolted the stock clamps back on. Since the risers have long built in bolts on the bottom that hold the bottom clamp on, I had to buy a couple of bolts to go in their place. After that it was fairly simple.

Just used the Sportster bars, nothing else. Here's a link that might show it better: Ronayers/S40/steering stem:
http://www.ronayers.com/fiche/300_0372/steering_stem/steering_stem.cfm?man=su...
I removed part(s) 10 then got a couple of bolts to attach part 8 back. Those stock clamps put the handlebars about 2" above the steering stem.
