CHROME seat height change
12/09/05 at 09:43:20

I have come up with a seat riser that looks good. I have pictures on floppy disc, but I don't know how to add them here. I will add them to my pictures on bike pics.com. I used a steel golf club shaft for my spacers.
Did I mention they are CHROME? I build golf clubs so I already had the shaft. If any of you are interested I have plenty of shafts. You use the big end for the forward spacer and the small end to raise the back of the seat. When you see the pics you will like it. The first picture is the bottom af my seat. Notice the orange rubber spacers. When you add to those you need to make the metal spacer that is inside the rubber ones longer. The gold colored spacer is the stock one and the chrome one is the one I made. The other photos are finished product. Enjoy! I did mention the CHROME didn't I.

Your bike looks great! It takes alot of time to keep them that clean! I ride mine everyday and wipe it down after, If I could only get the new girlfriend to clean hers I would be happy.

Thanks.

I assume you also added pads under the seat?

Nice looking bike!  So I take it the rear of the seat is the same height?

Clueless, I build golf clubs as a hobby also. I have two sons that play. They are 14 and 9, They are growing so fast I have  to build clubs to afford golf

Jimbrough, The front of the seat is 1" higher, the back is 3/8" higher, the rubber frame bumpers are 1/2" tall.

Steve, I added rubber bumper under the seat, trimmed with a single edge razor and superglued in place.
