8)Well in difference to my fellow Savagers in southern Ontario and northern Michigan (was in Frankenmuth, Port Huron and Ann Arbor back in '01, really nice!) ... it's still rather decent, mild and pleasant out here in the North Atlantic ... though I'm sure that'll all change very soon ...  Sad
By the end of the month most Bikes here will be down 'til April ... though you'll still catch the odd one out on days during winter when the pavement is dry and the sun is out (and of course if it isn't -10 C!!)

Hey, all you winter fighters...what is it about the cold that makes me want to brave it on my thumper?  I have a perfectly fine cage sitting in the drive but it remains there while I joyfully freeze my kahunees off!  I think it must be seen as a test of manhood - why else would we do such a thing?

Ain't that the truth - although prices ARE going down, I think.  I just paid .94 for a  litre, then went for 30 minutes and it was .84 for a litre!  I love pulling into the pumps beside a big SUV and the guy is there forever and I nick in and out for 7 bucks!

These might help

PSOLAR• EX HEAT EXCHANGER FACE MASK

GLACIER GLOVES® FLEECE LINED NEOPRENE FULL FINGER GLOVES

I have used both and they keep you very toasty.  Mainly for riding in the back of a deuce or armored vehicle never on a motorcycle.  Should be about the same though since neither has wind protection.  The temperature dropped to about -10 a few times and I was still not absolutely frozen.

I'm a fan of microfiber and have a couple of items from Col d' Lizárd; I have this microfiber balaclava that works great under a helmet as well as this fleece neck gaiter..

I have NEVER found a pair of globves suitable for cold riding.

Plastic windshields for your hands:  I have a pair for mt V* from national cycle.  Um,  they work a little.  I think they will work better this year as I am going to reposition them.  If you can find a pair that sits well, I think they will help.  They are reasonably easy to take on and off, but, as usual, lining up the mirrors again (the mirror bolts go through the attachment brackets) is of course a b*tch.

For longer trips I also use chemical heat packs.  heated grips are also available.
