Gotcha, No oil. I got to thinking about it and decided to change the plug again. With all the mess I went through with the old carb I thought it might have fouled it out. after changing the plug with the new carb installed it ran great. Took about a 10 mile ride and it ran smooth as silk. This carb must have been tweaked a little because it has no idle screw cover. Anyway, no backfires with a very open exaust (see above).
