SuperBrace on a 2000

Has anyone put a SuperBrace fork stabilizer on a 2000? The catalog says the earliest year is a 2001, but I spoke to the guys at SuperBrace and they thought that it would fit a 2000. I have it on order and will see if it fits. They were very helpful and are looking for feedback, so if you've put the brace on earlier models, they'd like to hear about it.

Any pics of an installation on a 2000 or earlier would be much appreciated.

Kyle at SuperBrace (I have his email address) really wanted to know if it fit other years so that they could update their catalog. Any other years out there, or is anyone an expert in fork dimensions on Savages to give SuperBrace some feedback?

Reelthing Serious Thumper Alliance Member Offline Fish or ride that is the question Posts: 5397 Houston,Tx Gender:	Re: SuperBrace on a 2000 Reply #7 - 08/14/05 at 20:42:21 if you go to their website you can read all about it, as well as several long postings here - it basicly locks the lower forks to gether that eliminates any independant movement of the fork tubes and "bowing" out , this among other things lessens front tire wabble on say rain groves, it makes the bike feel more sure footed.

rkutzner Ex Member	Re: SuperBrace on a 2000 Reply #11 - 08/16/05 at 07:09:52 l talked to them a while back about how far up in the years they will fit. My 05 has those dirt shields which would get in the way but I'm not sure they can just be removed. I sent them pics and they said they would consider it. My guess is they will work up to the year the shields were put on (03? 04? 05?)
