All we have is unleaded. In this area I believe it's available in 87, 89 and 93 octane. I just use 87 octane. BTW, this board is for technical documents only. My bike may not always NEED premium but there are times when engine temperature may get a bit high, due to weather or hard riding, and at those times premium is needed to avoid detonation.

Bike never complains. Only use super unleaded in the 99 supercharged mustang and the 65 Buick, as they would detonate on 87.

I have tried a bunch of them.
It will detonate some in the heat of summer no matter what is in there if it's hot enough, and for an extra quarter why not fill it premium.
Regular 87 octane runs fine in cooler weather.
I have noticed that in some areas ethanol is coming back as a blend. Alcohol can be harder on fuel delivery components, but w/ a 3 gal. tank. "beggars can't be choosers".

That bike really gets up and goes!!! The cars behind you will stay real far away when they see the backfire after you let off the throttle! Get a Jardine pipe and it's even better!!
