What can I do with just the stock pipe, air, and a rejet (needles too)? 2. What can I do with a piston and a cam? Does anyone even make cams for our Savages? Wiseco makes pistons, but that's all I've found. Thanks, ks

I'll reply to this one to get it back on the top of the heap.

There are a lot of things that you can do that will add a couple more HP and make your Savage more cool sounding too, but I think that your best approach is to go to the Technical Corner and do some reading. You have pipes to choose and jets to change.

Also, there is a member in here that has punched out his Savage to a 700 or more and had the cam reground too. I just can't remember who he is at the moment. Maybe he'll join in this topic.
