I've lived with several cats, never had any as pets.  Current resident feline is Tripod, as in "who needs more than one front leg?"  When he jumps down from a chair that one front leg takes his 12 pounds with a single Thump!

'Bout five years ago we picked up a pound puppy and brought her home.  Tripod objected.  I explained to him that she was a pet and he wasn't and if he had a problem he was free to leave.  So he did.  Moved into a house a block away with the guy's 17 cats.  Guy knew Tripod was 'ours', but never said a word until two months later when Tripod thumped his Top Tom and sent him to the hospital.  Per request we picked up Tripod and brought him back home, no hard feeling either way and living with Pepper was not as bad as living elsewhere.

Another difference between dogs and cats is that cats understand "leash" while dogs don't.    Walking the dog it is common for a cat to be lounging on the ground lazily gazing upon Pepper bouncing about on the end of her leash.

actually, i believer it was the cats that quit having you as a owner.  Cheesy

i've found cats own people not the other way around.

heres the difference between cats and dogs.
at dinner time you bring your food to table and go back to get something else. you come back catch dog eating dinner, you shoo away, dog things darm i almost got his dinner. the cat when you shoo away thinks, darn they be eating my dinner.

all humans are to cats are  a. can opener.  b.  giant heated pillows.

I am corrected.  I am just thankful that cats don't like me.

At least you guys can ride in the countryside.  I'm stuck in the middle of the five-county Greater Los Angeles area: 20,000,000+ people spread out means it is people people people for at least 100 miles in any direction 'cept west.

i aways enjoyed the cruise down hawthorne to the ocean then follow it around the beach to rosecrans. then back over to prarie and home. that was the takin it easy cruise.  the wild and crazy was west on rosecrans, south on sepulveday around to crenshaw then back up to rosecrans. this was a high speed run whipping through traffic like you wouldnt believe.  Grin

What time do you envision hitting Packwood? I don't know how to use Mapquest or such stuff, so it is hook up in Randle, Packwood, Morton, or not show up. It will take me until at least this time next year to figure out the map programs...

See you in June, unless I get sick of the west side before then...Pineapple Express hit last night, over 2" of rain in sub-24 hours. What a mess. And to top it off, I ran out of gas in the truck today, in the downpour.  :'( I hate spring...

Highway 7 to Skate Creek RD.  Knocks off about 50-60 miles. Comes out in Packwood or Randle. We will try to be in Packwood by 1300 or 1315 to make sure we don't miss you. Either the Savage and a bluish Intruder 800, or those two and a dark green and white 69 Dodge truck. Depends on whether or not I chance that long of a ride 52 weeks 4 days post-op. I really don't want to end up under the knife again. Smart thing to do would be to hang up my leathers, but I'm just not ready.

We've only been up there from the south side through Cougar.  I imagine that we'll travel up there and approach from the north side....and most likely ride out to intercept some of you other riders on the way in  Roll Eyes

Sounds like a plan.  You're riding to a mountain, I'll ride to the tallest mountain in Anaheim. (or as close as I can without paying admission.)
