Checking out the options...

I finally got bored with just one Savage site. Came here and checked out the photo gallery. Hmm, I've got some work to do. Highbar 98 needs makeover 6 or 7 to even consider showing it off here.  I can't wait, hope to see some of you come June for the Volcano Run.

This is a whatever Savage you have is jes' fine site.  Stock, Rat, Bobbed, Chopped, Bagged, no screen, flyscreen, wind screen or full fairing -- doesn't matter.  Send or post your picture and I'll add it to the gallery.

Bike is in pieces. I haven't been able to ride for the last 3 years due to a back injury. Somewhere under the algea, pollen, and dust is a bike. And it WILL be meeting Sluggo, Max, and whoever else in June! I'd given it to my son, he did nothing with it, I took it back.

Now, where did I put that stupid camera?

I'm already laughing more here than I have on Bert's forum in several years, been on their since early 98. Going through the older pages here, seems that FUN is a priority over dry tech. I tech on a Dodge truck site that is very similar to this. Any objections to some 61-71 Sweptlines crashing the party at the rock? Savages ans Sweptlines, now that would be a picture!

Welcome over, WD.  Your comments on Heise have always been helpful.  You gave me several pointers when I first got my thumper.

This place has a little more relaxed atmosphere, and I think that's due to the forum structure rather than than the people.

Bert's, using a CGI forum, tends to age threads pretty quickly, so there's not a lot of opportunity to keep rehashing, since all threads are bumped by newer threads.

Here, since new posts pop to the top, messages that are active, stay active, permitting a more chat-like forum.
